Oh, happy day!

After ten years of discomfort Andrew & I finally invested in a good mattress for our master bedroom! We literally went from the cheapest available at the time we bought this last mattress to a luxury Tempurpedic. Since Andrew's last surgery he has never felt comfortable mon out old mttress and was sleeping on the couch every night. Now we have a bed that hugs you to sleep. It was worth every penny, especially because now hubby is back in the bedroom (hehe). I'm in love with my bed now, and by the volume of my better half's snores last night, so is he! Now to convince Ignazio that, no, he does NOT need a new mattress!
This is only a small part of my FIL's garden. This strip of beauty runs along our driveway.
I get to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Gotta love a dad that brings such beauty to your home!

  1. Hi there. Thanks for stoping in and leaving kind words... Life is special... and all the small joys are the best... Oh my gosh the pink roses are lovely... Pink roses are my favorite... I decorate with pink roses in my kitchen and bedroom and a couple tucks in the living area... Wishing for you to have a lovely weekend as we celebrate our first holiday of the summer... They pass by so quickly...

  2. Hi Diane! Thanks for visiting That Old House.

You MUST get out to the East End of the Island for thrifting. Many of the old churches have great thrift shops -- there are two in Southold alone. And always yard sales along Rt 25 and the North Road.

    Happy Hunting!

And enjoy your new bed; we got a new one two years ago after having spent 30 years on the old one... it was BLISS.

Still is -- love those new mattresses.

Gorgeous roses, too ... lucky you!
    Cass
