I cheated with a stencil...
Usually I never would use a stencil, but painting on this ceiling fan, I was too afraid each fan blade would look too different, so I used a stencil and then freehanded the dark accents on top of that. I didn't like the fan plain white, which is over our master bedroom bed, but I can at least live with it now until I find a light fixture I really would like there.
