50??? How'd that happen?

My brother Ed turned fifty years old on Thursday, Feb 25th. It didn't hit me until I was driving to work that day that he had reached a milestone in life, half a century, with me soon to follow in a few short years...yikes!
He had an easier time turning fifty than when he turned thirty. If I recall correctly, on his 30th b-day he went to bed with a migraine.

This is a photo of the three of us siblings. I guess I was about six here. That's me, of course, in the middle. That is where I was always placed. I was in the middle, even in the car, so that my brothers could grab me out of harms way. Don't you love my doo? I thought I was the most stylish hairstyle my mom ever came up with (believe me there were some doozies - I will never forget the perm fiasco of 1974!)

Happy Birthday, Ed, may you have many, many more!

  1. Hey there. That is such a cute pic of you guys.. i DO like your "do" actually.. I guess we forget how time just flies and gets away from us sometimes..

Thank you for the well wishes also. I will just have to live vicariously through you other crafty ladies until my arm is better :)

And by the way, I think we have ALL had a perm fiasco at one time or other lol..

Your blog looks great. Did you do the design or did someone else?

  4. I love the "do"! That's one of my favourite things about looking at old photos, remembering the styles of the day, and the nishaps :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
